The part and whole perspective increases one's understanding when muslims are so eager to pick and choose things.M Umer Toorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16945276129564758593noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3413566938078526403.post-828281495300081512011-08-17T18:39:46.161-07:002011-08-17T18:39:46.161-07:00From one hadith we learn that reviving a single su...From one hadith we learn that reviving a single sunnah of the Prophet Mohammad (salla Allahu alaihi wasaallam) earns great rewards. In today's world, given common reactions as you said, this is one act of jahad, just like any lady who tries to perform true hijaab against general society.

About what you said of beard both helping and not helping towards being a better Muslim. Any part of the whole, fulfills, completes and strengthens the whole. Without it, the whole has a 'hole' in it. However, by itself, it cannot contribute to the absolute completeness of the whole since there may be other missing parts as well yet waiting to be realized.
May Allah keep you on this important sunnah forever.
Another similarly neglected and sadly degraded sunnah is miswaak which holds even many physical benefits in it.Rhodora Onlinehttp://structureofentropy.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
