Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) was frugal in other matters, but he used the best scent. Hence,
ulema say that buying scent is not excessive spending, because when you use scent you're giving a
sadaqa, which means you do it for others. It reminds us of paradise and needless to say has positive effect on souls.
